The Elton John Red piano series, a collaboration between Yamaha and Elton John produced a limited edition of pianos that were all sold by custom order. Sometimes fans have to wait for years before an owner is willing to sell. They have tripled in value since the series sold out. Piano comps have ranged from $200,000 to $250,000 recently.
